Founded by the Barbee family in 1997, Media Works Communications has been a southern leader in broadcast production and post. Media Works Communications has provided advertising and production services to clients around the world.
The first client of MWC was Hewitt Trussville High School in Trussville, Alabama. The project? Producing a Football High-light video for Coach Jack Wood and the Huskies football team. The video was a success! Since those days of inception MWC has grown into one of the largest production companies in Alabama.

| The 1999 Edit System |
|
The company started out with one S-VHS camera, 3 edit decks, and a slow 1ghz computer editor. Today, MWC has acquired multiple HD Cameras, 3 full Final Cut Pro edit suites, a production Yukon and trailer, talented production people, and offices in Birmingham, Nashville, and Los Angeles. God has truly blessed us!

| MWC and Tanya Tucker. |
|
Over the years MWC has also acquired many elite clients. We are proud to have worked with so many big names, but we are not name droppers. However, we are especially proud of a few; Turner Broadcasting, Sunset Pictures of Los Angeles, CMT, GAC and one of our favorites Tanya Tucker. We have also had the pleasure of working with numerous political candidates across the south, but we'll be careful not to mention which ones in order to protect the innocent...yeah right!
